If you are still having this problem, I would like you to reset your settings. This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.

Click on the three dots menu button.

Click on Settings.

Click on Reset settings.

Click on Restore settings to their default values.

Click on Reset.
